You will probably be up against people who have negotiated dozens of physician contracts, talking to older and much wealthier people. You will leave money on the table. If we can negotiate only a very modest increase in your first contract, our service will have paid for itself.

You could hire your own lawyer, but unless your lawyer is intimately familiar with your specialty and recent market value, he or she will not be a successful advocate. More and more contracts have production bonuses. Very few lawyers, if any, will know if these are too high or even low.
